Last weekend we had a girls night out and most of our staff attended The Autism Gala at the Pfister Hotel.

It was such a lovely evening for an amazing cause.  Linda Lanigan (our Head Buyer) even co-chaired the event.

Everything was wonderful....from the playful menu (sliders complemented by lobster mac n' cheese finished with chocolate cake and a mini vanilla milk shake)....to the live auction and later we danced the night away.

I'm a girl who lives to get dressed up....and can't wait for our next event!

It's that time of year when so many of our customers come in looking for the perfect items to take on a trip.  I've compiled a list of my favorite "must haves" and here they are!

1. Tory Burch flip-flops (every girl needs a new pair).  We have a variety of colors that are perfect for the beach.

2. A Longchamp bag.  They are the perfect travel bag!  Easy enough to pack in your suitcase and use during the trip (or even as a carry-on).

3. Elizabeth and James sunglasses.  Find the perfect pair!

4. Our new Glam portable phone batteries.  Yes...you read that right, we just brought in a line of IPhone accessories.  They are a "need" for every traveling fashionista.  Just hook your phone up to this cute portable little pod that you carry in your handbag to instantly charge your IPhone on the go.

5. Scarves.  A scarf is a great way to instantly change your outfit.  Really, you could change the look of your outfit from one day to another...by just switching up your scarf!

Well...as we all know, Faye hates a sale...however, I also know many of you have been waiting for the day we mark all of our seasonal fall, winter and holiday merchandise down to 75% off.  Well, the wait is over.  Rush in now to get the best selection of the fabulous pieces on our sale rack.  I personally am lusting over the Yoana Baraschi black snake embossed trench coat and the chocolate Frye "Carson" boots (if only they were my size)!

It's that time of year when our stores trade ALL of our sale merchandise!!  That means all of the fabulous sale items in Brookfield go to our other store in Mequon....and vice versa. 

Now is the time to stop in and take another look at our sale section.  Perhaps one store may have had a piece that the other didn't get....(or something is left a different size-your size).

We always say that our two stores sell merchandise very differently...which is part of the reason our sale swap is a favorite event with our customers.  Stop in now to get the very best selection!

Our warm weather is beginning to turn and a frost is near. 

With our beautiful fall it was hard to imagine that the time would come for chunky knits and cozy sweaters; but the air is crisp…the leaves are falling and winter is on it’s way.

One of my favorite (and least expensive) purchases from last winter was a puffy graphite Coffee Shop jacket.  Not only did it look fashionable and kept me warm, it also left pennies in my pocket for more holiday splurges.

The fashion world has been buzzing in anticipation for the Missoni for Target collection since the partnership was announced in May.

Our Faye’s customers have been coming in with both excitement and concern over the collaboration.  A few apprehensions arose from our fashionistas that perhaps the items they had previously purchased from the designer, as investment pieces, wouldn’t be as valuable now as the more affordable pieces emerge on the market.  I beg to differ on this trepidation!

Vera Wang, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Jimmy Choo are just a few other designers that have also teamed up with mainstream retailers to launch affordable lines based off of their high-end brands.  Personally, I am getting married and searching for the perfect wedding gown.  My dream is to have a Vera Wang original because I love and respect her work.  My view hasn’t changed, just because you can also find her at David’s Bridal and Kohls.  I still think she is a fashion genius and just because she has filtered more into the mainstream audience, doesn’t mean that one of her high-end couture dresses is no longer valued.

Since the Missoni collection for Target launched on Tuesday, the fashion house has had a resurgence of energy.  Everyone is buzzing about the luxury designer that started in 1953 and the fashion house now seems to be more popular than ever.  Target’s website crashed for most of the day on Tuesday and lines formed at most stores across the country with eager shoppers all wanting to get their hands on the goods. 

Missoni only intended to have their collection in stores for 6 weeks; however the line almost completely sold out during the first few hours.  Most people I’ve talked to didn’t even have the opportunity to get their hands on a single piece to look at.

Everyone is talking about Missoni and now more than ever the general public knows and appreciates the brand.  Two days after the launch only a few scattered pieces remain at Target.  With all of the hype surrounding the collection, it's safe to say that the stock in your investment Missoni pieces has just gone up!

Over the weekend we had our MZ Wallace trunk show and featured the most fabulous handbag! 

As anyone who has ever owned an MZ Wallace knows, the quality and attention to detail is impeccable.   Fringe is a huge trend for fall and this bag is complete perfection.  The leather...gold hardware...and Chanel inspired chain makes this a stand out bag.

Yoana Baraschi is one of my all time favorite designers and we just received in the most amazing collection!  From animal prints to glamorous tops...the line is full of statement pieces that will spice up your fall wardrobe. 

Pictured below is a stand-out suit and a fabulous trench that will begin your fashion season on the wild side.

Duchess Kate has been touring Canada in style during her first official North American tour, as a member of the British Royal Family.  Emerging as a style icon of this generation, she has yet to disappoint.  Each of her outfits (thus far) have consistently been on point and fit for a future Queen. 

From wearing one Diana's favorite designers, on the day that would have marked her 50th birthday....to incorporating a maple leaf atop her festive red fascinator during the Canada Day celebration in Ottawa, each look has been sensational and perfectly polished.

What will she wear on her visit to the U.S.?  They are set to arrive on Friday, July 8 and I can't wait to find out!  t

Get Ready...Get Set...For More NYC Jewelry!

Linda and Amy are off to New York City tomorrow to select fabulous new jewels for the store! 

I am a "statement necklace" kind of a girl and when our buyers bring back fabulous NYC finds...I can hardly contain my excitement.

  In 1974 Diane Von Furstenberg launched her iconic wrap dress that would forever change the world of fashion.  Originally, viewed as a symbol of empowerment and freedom for women, the silhouette along with her statement prints, would forever remain fashion staples.   

Now, almost four decades later 20 archived DVF prints and silhouettes have been re-commissioned for a new collection that pays homage to the wrap dress and her other famous silhouettes.

Faye’s just received in the vintage collection, all under the Diane label.  The beautiful prints are now on our floor and I adore each and every one.  Stop into Faye’s to view the collection before the prints are forever back in the fashion vault.

Ok...so TOMS have become a global phenomenon!  Even I ended up with a pair of wedges...that I must admit, I adore.  Plus, with the buy one give one program, they are a feel good purchase too.

"Customize Your Sole" is a new campaign that TOMS created.  The idea is to show your personality and individuality by creating your own pair.  Get your glitter and markers ready....I think this is a great idea.

Stop into Faye's for a neutral color of TOMS and get your thinking cap on.

With all of the snow showers and blizzard warnings, I can't help but dream of warmer weather!
