  neon for spring

Today I was watching Good Morning America before coming to work and WOW!!!!  NEON IS IN! Several of the female anchors and  guest Bethenny Frankel were all sporting neon colors.  They looked amazing.  Bethenny had on a fushia skirt and orange top, Lara Spencer had a neon yellow dress with cream and black stripes running down the back of the dress and Stephanie Roberts (Sam Champion's stand in) wore a brilliant orange dress with nude shoes....look out ladies neon is on it way.  As a matter of fact we already received neon pieces in for spring and have sold out of the neon orange jacket.  So, I would recommend you pop in today and claim your neon pieces for spring travel!

P.S. Robin Roberts looked fabulously smart with her winter white dress and cognac suede boots on!  So let's shop!

didn't get it gotta have it

My Christmas was tremendous spending time with my family - as I hope your holiday was equally as fabulous. And if you are reading my blogs (and yes some of you are!) you know that giving is more exciting to me than receiving.  But now that Christmas as is past and you think - "I didn't get that one thing I really wanted" - so now is the time!   I am not trying to sell you but thought I would gently nudge you to come on in and spend your "Christmas Cash" with us.

Today was a special reward when a customer commented on how much she enjoyed shopping at Faye's today because we were helpful and we were honest with our opinions.  And, why wouldn't we be?  We are a reflection of how you look in our clothes and accessories...so please come on in and test us on service!  We would love to see you at either of our stores!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AS WELL!

  store hours

Ok, so this morning while I was preparing my gifts to be wrapped I had the TV on and a story on Good Morning America caught my attention on store hours - here is a blurb from the story:

"All this means that the next few days leading up to Christmas will be crucial for retailers. Beginning Friday, Macy's will be keeping many of its stores open all night. Toys 'R Us is also extending hours and will stay open through midnight Christmas Eve. "

REALLY?  What has happened to us?  Does time with  family really not mean anything any more?  Why would Toys R Us have to be open until midnight Christmas Eve?  In my opinion those stores that stay open that late or were open on Thanksgiving are missing what these holidays really mean - family!  Now, you may say --- what the heck you work for a retailer - this is true but our LOCALLY owned store values their employees enough to realize that business is business but time for family during the holidays is essential for balance in our lives.

To say the least I am on my soap box - but when will retailers realize the breakdown of the family unit may really be the reason their sales are off.

If you care to go to the story I have attached the link below:

Finally, I have two wishes for our readers - first - May the time you spend with your family be blessed with loving memories!  And second, I hope that the big box retailers realize the meaning of the holidays is about family.

Thank you for supporting our store!

  Joyful Memories

When I was growing up I loved the holiday season and remember ripping through gifts with such joy and excitement - but as I gotten older my real excitement and joy of the season comes from giving.  I love giving gifts that  surprises  and shows the love I have for the recipient.  This I learned from my mother without a question.  She was the best in giving of herself, her while she possessed  unique eye for giving really meaningful gifts.  That said, this time of the year is the toughest for me - when I hear the songs she loved, decorating the tree with the ornaments she bought for me and preparing all the meals with the recipes she use to make  (some of the recipes are true originals like  homemade carmel pecan rolls - absolutely the best) I lost my mom suddenly 3 1/2 years ago and I miss her everyday.

So as you go through the season take time to reminisce about those loved ones who created some of your best memories - and as you give of yourself this season  just think about the impact you may have in someone's life - and as we know the whole story may not unfold until we are all sparkles in the sky!

Remember, at Faye's we are here to help you create long lasting memories!

  Fall is thrilling with excitement

Oh my gosh - every time I walk into the store I am so excited to see all the great fall clothes. I want one of everything! But as one of my buddies tells me...I can't have everything!  The thrill of the season reminds me of when I was a little girl on Christmas morning- just waiting for my parents to wake up so I can delve into my presents, however now I get to delve into the beautiful pieces we have here for you.  I know, I know...it is so hard to get into the fall feeling when it is still 80 degrees, but I wouldn't let any dust settle on your shoes and blow into Faye's today to get the best selection of the fabulous and stunning looks we have to share with you!
